According to Mashable Only 6% of Fans Engage With a Brand’s Facebook Page [STUDY]. This article discusses a “superfan” and an average fan. A “superfan” provides the same level of engagement that 75 average fans would. They like posts, share content and comment on posts regularly, and their comments drive likes and additional comments.
How do we know what sort of fan we have? So often those initial “likes” that we get are people who have responded to a special offer, liked your page because you posted it in a forum to exchange likes or are your friends and family. Do you review the insights from your various pages to see what gets the most reactions?
What do you react to that causes you to engage? Is it something about which you are passionate? Is it something for which you want to show your support? Do you tend to tune out after a period of time or when your life gets busier? What would keep you reading – waiting for a post to come through?
Realizing how you react and perhaps discussing it with a few of your peers may help you determine how to keep your clients and customers more engaged. If you begin to think like your customers or even ask them what they would like to see and read, you can customize your posts to increase the level of engagement.
