I find that organizing my social media infrastructure with Hootsuite, SproutSocial, and a few other tools in my browsers; and integrating apps in my Hootsuite like TrendSpottr, InBoxQ, Chime.in enable me to find fresh content, add value by responding to questions, and streamlining my favorite blogs thru Dlvr.it help me manage my time effectively, make my connections, contribute to my networks and still work on my other projects. I enjoy reading the content from SmartBriefs, especially since they make t so easy to share content across all channels; I also leverage Google alerts for timely and relevant content and seeking out new content and resources via Alltop directories.
At the end of the day, it’s a matter of organizing your social media infrastructure, utilize a management/monitoring tool to get the big picture overview, focus on key goals and objectives, planning and scheduling and being consistent (even if you’re spending 15-20 minutes throughout the day). This can create good traction and you’ll notice a significant increase of followers, mentions, inquiries.
